Metallifan’s Ride the Lightning and Test Pressing Collection

The first picture is a continuation of the series from Jan of last year showing the ride albums and singles.
The second shows the following test pressings (top left, going right, then row by row):

• Ride the Lightning: UK    1986    Music For Nations    (MFN 27 P). White vinyl test press of picture disc
• For Whom the Bell Tolls: US 1984 Speciality / Elektra (ED 5026). One-sided pressing with Edit Version
• Creeping Death: France 1984 Bernett / MPO (19036). Dated 22/11/84
• Ride the Lightning: UK    1986    Music For Nations    (MFN 27 P). Silver vinyl test press of picture disc
• Creeping Death: UK 1984 Music For Nations  / MPO (12 KUT 112). With "Proof" cover which is basically a test press of the cover. The cover has a spelling mistake; "BlitzkrEIg", this was corrected for the commercial release.
• Ride the Lightning: US 1984 The Music Connection / Megaforce (MRI 769) with cover note from Important (distributors). Dated 25/7
• Ride the Lightning: US 1984 Speciality / Elektra (STE-60396-A-1). Dated 10/10/84
• Ride the Lightning: UK 1984 Music For Nations (MFN 27). Debatable whether this was the first pressing, or the megaforce version. Lars once said that when he heard the test pressing of Ride it sounded "slow". There is a version with the track list written on it in his hand writing.
